What an incredibly sad state of affairs.
At 23 a talented player who’s career was stalled makes a move to us and his career takes off.
A stellar season followed by a very promising first PL season and now at 25 ready to embark on the prime of his career.
Then a move to a complete backwater Nomark club.
Jeez......to end your career and reflect on this move and to think that with just a modicum of patience and common sense you’d probably have had a high profile career to look back on and still be spectacularly rich compared to most.
Talk about “badly advised”.
This is as sad as it is criminal in terms of a wasted talent.
Well summed up Mick!
Grealish 100 million to Man City best team in league
Pereira at most likely a fifth of this amount to a club who would most likely lose to Walsall!
Is Grealish really five times better? Apart from this last year he was just decent and a serial diver so has football gone mad!!
What a complete knob Pereira is and does not surprise me to be honest!
Agreed Pereira should have backed himself he’s talented enough, either help us back up or go to a decent club the money would have followed
Can’t argue with one word said on this post. Greed, and no brains.
Agent and player making a few quid maybe?
Arab club using dirty tricks, offering him the earth whist bidding what we paid for him as an unknown.
It clear to me now all this stuff in the press. They have been busy engineering a robbery in plain sight
Bad business football.
I dont blame the player choosing money its the other Arab club that i see as the Villain, trying to screw us over
Very sad indeed - but the majority of the footballers of today are in it for:
1. The money
2. The money
3. Yes, the money
It is probably impossible to survive on a Baggie player salary…
I find it incredible that a player of his age and potential would choose to go to Saudi Arabia and not to the Premier League. Let's face it, his wages in the Premier would see his family secure for life. To me, it epitomises the way he plays; can be devastating but also can be nondescript. I'm not sorry to see him leave as long as the money is used to strengthen our squad.
