OT Many Saints Of Newark

The other recent release that isn't James Bond.

I love films but I don't really like going to the cinema and prefer to watch them at home. so I cannot stream James Bond yet but as a huge fane of The Sopranos I couldn't wait to see MSON and streamed it on Sunday.


Pros
I loved reconnecting and working out who was who

Livia, Johnny and Junior were brilliantly played.

The dynamic between Livia and Johnny was perfect.

Junior being someone that was laughed at was great

The ice cream van scene and the way Tony behaved exactly the same way AJ did at School

James Gandolfini's son was great but not enough of him - Loved the bits of him eavesdropping on the gangsters to learn his trade.

Giuseppina Moltisanti getting her tits out

CONs
Both Ray Liota characters seemed contrived

Dickie Moltisanti's character isn't that interesting (although brilliantly played)

The end is a bit melodramatic

The timelines and ages of Tony's crew seemed off


It really has polarized fans of The Sopranos and I am in the positive camp but very much hoping it will lead to at least 1 more film or series of Tony's rise to power please.
