Swansea v Peterborough
Everybody likes a Saturday 3pm kick-off, it’s our tradition.
Here we go then, after a week without playing, we’re at home to newly promoted Peterborough this Saturday
Darren Ferguson is their manager and he knows how to exploit our style of football well from his clashes with Martin’s MK Dons last season, gaining four points from the six on offer.
Swans will have a full squad of players to choose from with Flynn Downes fit again. Bearing in mind that we have two tough away fixtures next week against Coventry and Bournemouth, Martin may be tempted to rotate the squad. Both Coventry in 4th place and unbeaten Bournemouth in 1st place will be testing, especially with our poor away form.
Back to Peterborough, they’ve won their last two matches, beating Hull for their first away win, and QPR at home last Saturday, so have their tails up and will be hoping to make it three wins in a row.

Another three match week. With the intensity that Martin wants us to play he can’t pick the same team for each match. Wing backs do the most running I would think but we are thin on the ground in that position having to use centre back Latibeaudiere to cover there.
I remember when Burnley got relegated last time, Dyche used the same players in his small squad for every match and they bounced straight back up, he must have been lucky with injuries though.
Out of the three matches, today’s match is probably the one we have the best chance of winning, lose it and we could go on a bad run, no pressure then!

I know we have three matches coming up this week and I would take it on a match by match basis, fielding the best team each time.
Who knows what injuries we’ll get anyway that could mess up any forward planning. Then there’s another International two week break, so after today no home match for three weeks in this crazy match scheduling.

That first half was as good a display of passing football as you’re likely to see. We dominated possession and had the clinical edge to go with it, scoring the first goal after 2 minutes without any of their players having touched the ball. Laird dinking past his marker to cross the ball into the path of Bidwell to bundle home. Piroe and Ntcham volleyed goals made it 3-0 at half time with 70% possession. Second half the dominance continued and only ex-Swan’s goalie Dai Cornell’s fine saves kept the score down. Impressive stuff and that result made it four straight wins at home, conceding only 1 goal.

Happy weekend guys and gals after our team bounced back from last week for our fourth straight home win.
Bidwell returned after missing the Brummies defeat, and it took him 2 minutes to get on the scoresheet, Laird setting him up with a low cross into the box. Another player to shine was Korey Smith playing deeper in midfield in place of Downes, but they all played well as we gave Peterborough a footballing lesson.
