When I lived in France we were under a major flightpath for Les Grues, Cranes as we call them. We felt they heralded spring and then as they returned, the onset of winter. There were some quite spectacular formations and they were as noisy as hell.
Reminds me of when we lived there Chris, we used to get phone calls from neighbours telling us to go outside and look up, they seemed to know the day they could expect the Cranes and even the time of day they'd be flying over.Quote:
