The takeover of Southampton FC by Serbian Dragan Solak sounds frighteningly familiar. Their press release says---

1 Backed by a financial consortium

2 Bought an 80% share in the club

3 To introduce a system of recruitment based on a data package

4 To target young players to develop and sell

5 To build a global portfolio of clubs under the consortium's ownership on the Red Bull model

It's the latest craze SB, until another one rears it's head. They all have the same aim; making lots of lovely money out of football.

I know some Saints fans, as I used to live and work down there, and they are not happy with this takeover
