New owners cheap?

Obviously their not when condsidering they pay £25m for Wood.

HOWEVER... looking at these other reports, from so called good sources.

Sky Sports claimed the Magpies would have to offer Sevilla €45m (£37.6m) for Diego Carlos.

However, Newcastle are reportedly refusing to pay more than about €30m (£25.1m) at present.

£37.6m for one of the best CBs in La liga - how can that be too much?

To me that sounds like a bargain?

So they value Carlos in the same range as Wood? If thats true, I can see why every club we deal with get pissed off.

Or, has someone further up the ladder shut off the money, after they spend £25m on Wood?

It like Ashley, put in bid for players knowing they will never be accepted, Then say we tried.

It's because Seville kept putting the price up,We offered £30 million then they asked for £35 millio,we said ok so they lifted it again.

Their Director is well known for squeezing out every penny for players he sells.

Comparing the new owners with Ashley is bollox,clubs are asking stupid money,look what Manure are asking for a loan fee.

If someone kept upping the price after you've initially accepted their first, second etc. asking price, would you keep dealing with them?

No, they are not cheap.

They are just making sure they don't set a precedent we'll pay any sum.

I wouldn't mind of paying the top price for Carlos but not when Seville just keep upping the price, however, as I said on another thread, I'm really not convinced the deal is dead - think they might come back to us.

Its nothing like Ashley but if they ask £38m for Carlos, thats what they need to pay.

If that price is right, they need to shake their head if they play hard and stay at £25m.
