The goverment's anti-Covid performance

The 100th best country to cope with the Covid pandemic has had 392 deaths per million of population.

If the UK had actually had the identical death rate per million with the 100th best country it would have had 26,828 Covid deaths. The UK has actually had 155,698 Covid deaths. The UK is 196th out of 225 countries in terms of anti-Covid performance. 195 countries have done better.

Given that for at least a quarter of a century the UK has had the 5th/6th best economy on the planet, regardless of being in/out of the EU and regardless of party, this government's anti-Covid performance has been worse than abysmal.

But in answering questions the Cabinet and their loyal Conservative MPs can say hardly anything other than "Vaccines", which is disgraceful. Have they any concept of shame? Well, no, they are completely immune to shame. There is a day of reckoning coming.
