I agree BT. Footballers always say that they want to play all the time. KL has sat on the bench for several seasons and is even less likely to play with Collins in the squad. He gets picked for Northern Ireland. Perhaps he has no real ambition and is quite happy to pick up a decent wage, play the odd game and have fun training? Nice work if you can get it!
Definitely shows a big lack of ambition. Surely the idea of training all week is to force the manager to consider you for selection ? If there is someone blocking your way , wouldn’t you want to go elsewhere to make sure you are playing regular football ? I know I would.
Take the money, you're a long time retired, look after your family and your future, the lad is still kicking a football around most days of the week and playing 90 minutes every now and then. For Kevin, what's not to like, besides when BFC finally sees him off, he can still play another 5/6 years for Clitheroe.
Seems like a sound, sensible lad to me.
We moan about players going to other clubs who pay them better... about how the world was better back when players were loyal to our club... then we moan about a player as loyal as they come for staying and not having the ambition to go elsewhere.... 🤣🤣🤣
Perhaps he sees himself as an irish international being sponsored by Burnley who also kindly provide him with excellent training facilities, who needs club football?
