Boris Johnson's situation could be even worse if Rishi Sunak resigns, which he could well do. Sunak and his wife each have no shortage of money, so why put up with the criticism of their tax / green card status plus today's news. Also, Rishi Sunak is believed to not be Boris Johnson's best pal.

There’s a lot of chatter about the Ukraine situation preventing him being forced out, which is garbage. It hasn’t’t stopped the next French election, has it? This war could go on for years; should we cancel the next General Election? The bottom line is that this country is ruled by a party (stop sniggering), a Cabinet and ultimately the PM. Are they really suggesting that no one else is capable of taking over the role of PM?
As someone said on Radio 5 a few minutes ago, the Ukraine situation is a red herring, unless the PM can drive a tank.

It seems that only the 360 Conservative MPs can get rid of this Prime Minister. They are using Ukraine as an excuse to the electorate of why they will keep him in place.
