OT, we need the relief.
Not sure how much the Kentucky Derby is covered across the pond. If you didn't see the race or a replay it's worth the google search. One of the most incredible stories you'll ever see in sports.
The horse was 80-1 and entered 11 minutes before the entry cut off due to another horse withdrawing at the last minute. The owner is on a shoe string budget and humble as can be. Spent his whole life in the lower divisions of horse racing. The jockey was going on vacation with his wife and family and tied in the race on his drive down.
The entire race the announcer only said the horses name twice. Once when he was naming the last 3 horses and a couple of seconds before he won it. The horse charged through the field at the end and even went around another contender and still raced past the favorites. He was so worked up that they had a hard time controlling him post race.
Good stuff.

Spaldy, they showed footage over here of the clerk of the course actually punching the horse after the race because it was trying to savage his pony! 😀 Are they sure it wasn't administered with something to influence its worked up behaviour??? 🙄
And I thought they said it started at odds of over 200-1...but that may have been on our tote.

Just watched the aerial view of the last stage, he was fortunate how the field opened up letting him come down the rail, but every credit for the last part where he swerves the horse to slide through - they need to play the footage to the Leeds team on Wednesday for motivation
