Dee4Life

Another email last night to keep us all 'in the loop'.

Doesn't say much and is more of a recruitment drive for new members. I responded to the email and stated I'd be happy to re-join if they could commit to getting the club to accept a new fans rep on the board that they will respect - it's absolutely shocking, from both sides, that this has not happened so far.

On another note I have kind of softened my stance regarding Tott and Forbes' continued presence. I still want them away from any Dee4Life connection but would consider re-joining if the fans rep can be sorted out. Unfortunately I still feel those two will be part of the reason John Nelms will never respect any fans representation from Dee4Life. I can fully understand why that would be, no representative can take views from Dee4Life to the club if there's a possibility either of these two have had input into it.

I think you should re join and make your points of view known. You are trying to help Dee4Life so why not join. You may be wrong about the two Dee4Life board members. I think it is unhealthy to have a leadership culture where there is only one view expressed. Nicola springs to mind. Let's see how things progress with the new augmented board.

Agree that the Fans Rep on DFC board should be reinstated ASAP.

I'm 100% right about the two board members, take my word for it. Although with Jim Thomson out the picture maybe one of them can build bridges with Greg Fenton. However the other one made a decision that cost the club a good amount of money and really shouldn't be in any position of responsibility.

I don't want to get involved to the extent of making my points of view known. I'd be happy to support the society financially but I need to know it has a purpose, without a fans rep it doesn't.

What did he do that cost the club money and who was it, if it was during your stint as fans rep then surely you have a duty to keep the fans informed, or what’s the point in having a fans rep

It was a breach of confidence and as the consumate professional I'd never divulge on here. I might head into the pub after the Forfar game though. Buy me enough drink and you just never know.
