Scottish Cup replays removed for 2022/23 season

Following a vote by member clubs, the Scottish FA can confirm that no replays will take place in this season's Scottish Cup beyond the Preliminary Round.

The clubs today passed a resolution to remove replays from Rounds One, Two and Three for this season's competition.

There are already no replays from Round Four onwards. Extra-time and penalties will be used to decide matches in those rounds, if required.

The 2022/23 Scottish Cup competition kicks off on Saturday, 27 August with the Preliminary Round, where drawn matches will still be decided by a replay, which would proceed straight to penalties if no winner is decided after 90 minutes.

Preliminary Round: weekend of Saturday, 27 August 2022

First Round: weekend of Saturday, 17 September 2022

Second Round: weekend of Saturday, 22 October 2022

Third Round: weekend of Saturday, 26 November 2022

Fourth Round: weekend of Saturday, 21 January 2023

Fifth Round: weekend of Saturday, 11 February 2023

Quarter-Finals: weekend of Saturday, 11 March 2023

Semi-Finals: Saturday, 29 April and Sunday, 30 April 2023

Final: Saturday, 3 June 2023
