Fred Story's blunder regarding Carlisle United in 2015

It is clear that Fred Story totally approved of the Andrew Lapping Consortium proposed deal for the club in 2015. By the end of Spring 2015 he did what he assumed would help the deal go through by cancelling his (Story Construction) loan to CUFC 1921 rendering it null and void.

However, it had the absolutely opposite effect to that which was intended. It enabled Jenkins / Nixon / Pattison to find the first easy excuse to stop the deal going through. It eased the pressure on them, there was no longer a debt to Story Construction exceeding £1 million.

In the extremely unlikely event of Philip Day (Purepay) wishing to cancel the loan to CUFC 1921 it should be contingent upon new ownership being in place.

I am absolutely pissed off. CUFC 1921 is heading towards insolvency which results in it no longer existing. The person who has all the power should use it now. Skip The Charge (which is on all the club's assets including cash in accounts) and fully implement the Personal Guarantees of Jenkins / Nixon / Pattison.
