Exactly what he deserves, cant understand why FGR were so interested in him, as he had actually achieved nothing at all ., cant remember the amount of times last season especially away where we were outwitted by managers of smaller teams, and fell apart quite easily under pressure , and on top of that we never seriesly contended for top position
I never thought he was more than average tbh, and didnt lose an ounce of sleep when he went, in fact we should thank him, because we would have been stuck with him, as he was on a 4 year contract, and we ended up getting a better manager, head coach in my opinion
If he matters so much to you, you could spell his name correctly.
Wont get another job above NLN or NLS if he is sacked. Average manager who lacks motivational powers and certainly not someone you would want in a relegation fight. Will be getting his P45 shortly.
Looks a very damaging result at home to a fellow struggler.
"4 year contract"? Surely that must have resulted in a nice bit of compensation for Notts :)
Talking of compensation it was rumoured he was appointed by FGR on a 3 year deal. Now I don't know the T&C's but if relieved of his duties then he should receive a very tidy financial sum.
I'm not sure most non-league owners would look at him either. His style of football is one-dimensional, and the vast majority of clubs at this level don't have the personnel to make it work. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Scandinavia or gets a job in the UK as a traditional coach, rather than a head coach.
The days of nice compo on a contract are long gone. RT even said as much when firing managers that they wouldn't impact Notts financially as he had it covered in the contracts. Why should you be paid well for getting the sack? You have failed in your job for what you were employed to do.
Should have got it over Christmas, the slimey chunt.
What goes around, comes around
Basically IB has tried to run before he could walk, there was no real reason for him to leave Notts, as he was on a 4 year contract, he would have been safe for another season, probably more guaranteed, not only that his prospects at FGR were limited as always going to be fighting relegation
If he had stayed at Notts, he might of done better with the benefit of Langstaff and Scot, a big reason why we are doing so much better this season
LW has proved to be a good manager, but how much is that down to him being a great manager, or that everything was perfectly set up player wise when he arrived, and also off the field behind the scenes
In LW,s favour , getting Bostock to sign could be a shrewd move by LW, showing he can identify good players , a necessary skill if he wants to climb up the pyramid during his career
And there nothing like a promotion on a managers Cv to boost his career
I think there'd be takers in NL, even L1. Plenty of desperate teams.
Leagues are copycat, a team struggling with a poor style might pivot to what the top team is doing.
