Ings gone
From the very start I thought Ings was a really poor signing. It was a knee jerk reaction to losing Grealish. Although I have nothing against Ings personally, I just couldn't see how he took the project forward. I don't blame Ings for this but our transfer team... I'm just grateful we can recoup some of the transfer fee and get him off the wages bill... and maybe this time we can buy a player who fits our needs.

More or less my thoughs also mondaze. Good professional and player. Just not what we needed.

Whatever your thoughts on him are personally I think it’s absolute madness unless we bring in a proven striker asap in this window as we’ve only got Ollie now and he went off injured last week..

Expect a new Centre forward in the next 7 days, probably with a Spanish link😉

Shame, I liked him, but unfortunately, non of his 3 Villa managers did. Including the bloke who signed him ffs. Then again he bought everything in short trousers.

Unless we bring in an oven ready striker this is a bad move, he may have been a bad signing money and wages wise given his age but that's done. Let's not forget that the Grealish sale was done after the euros, leaving little time to the start of the season to make the signings to fill that void. I rate him highly, give him chances and he gets goals, we just didn't build the system around his strengths.
