Rumour is looking to sell him - that really makes no sense
You're talking about our management (see my most recent comment about Gnonto). Very little that our management do makes sense, we succeed more by luck than good management (again, refer to Gnonto), so the fact that we have lacked a suitable LB for a season and a half, and yet we have Cresswell AND Hjelde as potential candidates, both of who will be loaned out/sold, really shouldn't come as a surprise, should it?
Because its better to sell anyone English and from Leeds so we can have a team full of international mercenaries with no link or affiliation to the club in this vacuous, cesspit of a league.
I really wish they'd bring in some sort of homegrown quote in starting 11 and bench, bloody hate these teams (And we are quickly becoming one of them) where not one of the starting 11 is even from the city they're playing for, sometimes not one even from England
We've disagreed on some stuff (well, a lot of stuff!), but what you've written could have been taken from the deepest parts of what I think about LUFC. Look at the 1st team squad now, and compare to what it was just a few short seasons ago when we achieved promotion. Even then the connection between player and club was irrevocably changed compared to the squads that we saw in the 70's, 80's and 90's, with players with longevity at the club, and a true connection to LUFC, even if it was "developed" while they were at the club, rather than stemming from being "one of us". Now, with so many foreign players ("xenophobe" insults to be expected), as you say, they have no link nor affiliation to the club and will depart if enough money is put on the table.
Think I said as much in the season we just missed out on promotion, but I wonder if from a supporters viewpoint, we wouldn't be "happier" in the Championship (or even League 1).
And for evidence (if it was needed) as to how the synergy between players, coach and club management has morphed over time, and not in a good way, watch "Do you want to win?". Not sure it will be possible to make such a film (about LUFC or any other club at a similar level), in the future, mores the pity.
Take us home was pretty good. Having a unique person like Bielsa helped and there was a togetherness between coaches, owners, fans and the city.
Joel - French rugby introduced quotas for players and that is probably part of the reason for the revival of the national team. Each match day squad of 23 has to contain16 qualifying players.
Yep deffo a bad vibe in the club
