Seen two lengthy interviews with Vinni on YouTube this week, he said he had a long time in management ahead of him and he was in no hurry to manage a big club. I got the distict impression he's not seeing Burnley as a short term gig, he could be with us longer than I was thinking he would.
But it is football, you never know.
He is a treasure mon ami, a superb ambassador for Burnley Football Club, with a wonderful sense of humour and a man of intellect and honour.
How on earth Alan Pace thought about the possibility of getting him into our managerial hot seat I have no idea, but he certainly unearthed a diamond with this dude.
