Briefly met Ian Davidson at golf today

I asked him " Ian Davidson"

Him "yeah"

Me " debut for Dundee against Lancaster "

I was gonna fess up to something but before I confessed he said "that's right some guy got me telt about my orange boots"

Then confessed it was me, i must have been a bit braver back then as he still looked tidy.

He thought it was funny.

Thought he was one of those guys who tried very hard. Maybe not fast or particularly skillful but worth his place in that team.
