Sad, they all seem to be going at once.

A link to another world sadly passed, when he started. His simple, blokey approach was the best.

There have been some great commentators over the years - Ken Wolstenhome, Brian Moore along with Motson the best in football. Other sports - Eddy Waring, Harry Carpenter, Peter Alliss, Murray Walker, Bill McClaren, John Arlott, Dan Maskell.

John Motson also came out with some funny quips, not all intentional such as "if you are watching this in black n white Spurs are in the all yellow strip"
