I’ve watched it numerous times and it is just exquisite, a beautifully directed and weighted pass with literally zero margin for error. A simply wonderful moment of genius worthy of opening up any game 👌

I kept watching the drop of the shoulder more than the pass tbh. Rúben was gone before the Bromley player even knew it.
It wasn't just the slide rule pass but the dummy and turn to get away from the Bromley player when he received the ball. Also, I think the dummy (by Rawlo?) helped as well.
Also, while we are "talking about players" what about a heads up for Jones who left Fisher for dead to win back possession after the previous attack had broken down.
Yup Russ, that was certainly the icing on the cake of a pass.
He has a fantastic ability to turn away from the opposition, often in a crowded centre circle area, in a flash and set up a dangerous Notts attack. I'm a big fan, and have been since the early days watching him.
After I watched the clip a couple of times I was trying to think how many other Notts players who would attempt and be able to execute that lovely pass. Bostock, yup. Palmer, possible although like JB he is more likely to play it short to a team mat, but has it in his locker. After that I'm struggling.
He's a gem of a player.
Who was the last player at Notts who got you gasping because of their pure class like Ruben does? Young Jack Grealish maybe?
Not going to compare him to Jack Grealish but it was certainly an exquisite pass, and to play it well into injury time, too, was impressive. It’s all too easy to rush too much with the clock ticking away. I have to say, though, it’s a common move between Ruben and Macca, not that that makes it any less impressive, of course.
It’s a move from the training ground but it takes a good player to execute it 👍
The perfect control by Macca also, spot on.
The Bromley Ultras giving it some afterwards running down the steps to the front XD
