The 2000’s and 2010’s ?

Do you think todays younger generation will be saying to each other in 2060-2070 …..”do you remember back in the zeros or tens etc, etc”?

From my own point of view I can’t distinguish between 2008 and 2015, the years mean nothing to me these days.

But……I can specifically remember each year from 1970 up until the late 80’s and the events that took place, events, sporting occasions, finals, life events etc.

I guess the tens will mean the same to todays 20 odd year old in the way the 70’s did for me but for me personally each year just blends in with the previous one for me now.

Was thinking about this the other day, new music did it for me, was always some new genre during my growing up, doesn’t seem to have been anything new since the end of the 80’s.

If someone mentions the twenties or thirties to me I immediately think of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Those in the future, when they say twenties or thirties, I imagine that they will mean 2020’s and 2030’s. You are correct though, I can remember well the events from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and to a degree the 80’s, but after that, not so well.
