Gary Sparke Whistle blower or traitor

I met Gary Sprake in Hepworth Menswear in Solihull in the early 80’s when he worked for Birmingham Council.

A very nice and unassuming man with a great sense of humour, even laughed when I passed him the trousers he wanted to try and I feigned to drop them.

He talked about the night he threw it into his own net at Anfield and the Scousers started singing “Careless Hands”.

I also know one of Allan “Sniffer” Clarke’s brothers as I’ve mentioned before and I know how close those Leeds players were.

The whole thing is akin to the Saville scandal where people kept their mouths shut for decades to protect a monster.

I respect Gary, I would 100% believe everything he says.

Hi in the 60s I used write to players at clubs and ask for an autograph and send a stamped address envelope.
Gary replied with a nice letter and a signed photo. Al lot couldn't be bothered . Jimmy Greeves sent me one though.

Didn't the Busby babe goalkeeper Harry Greg , make the same accusations about Man U
