Off to Sawnsea on loan.
Shame it hasn't worked out quite as we'd hoped.
Surely Manquillo will be off, too, so who's our right back cover, do we think? Have I missed the obvious?

I know...I'm sure they have, but...I must admit to feeling a little nervous not knowing! ;)
Manquillo is still here and Kraft is recovering from his injuring and as far as we know we are still trying to get a rb
Manquillo will go to Spain. We'll bring in Tino & Krafth will stay with club until he's fit and then we'll see what happens.
Ashby is quality and looked great on tour. He'll come back like Anderson did at Bristol. So within a few years Ashby & Tino will be our two RBs as we see Tripz move into coaching or retire.
I thought this was a strange move then I thought again and actually. . . 40 games at Championship level will be brilliant for him. Sets him up brilliantly for the following season.
True enough, Jammy.
Time will tell, I guess.
I think it will do him good, by then Tripps will be another yr older, obviously, lol, it’s just the here and now that worries me. To be honest Manquillo has never let us down whenever he’s played but if it’s for a long run then not so sure, alternatively if it was a long run he might get better, who knows!
Manquillo & Krafth are both 29 (Krafth tomorrow, as it happens according to NUFC.com) and both have a year to go on their contracts, again according to that site. They might keep them both for the year or might release one but it’s unlikely either will get an extension, so I think this loan makes good sense. If Trippier gets a major injury, that’s a game changer for us but we have to try and stay positive on that front. I think the two back ups will both stay and Ashby comes back into it in 2024/25.
I reckon that we'll be selling Manquillo and he'll be back off to La Liga.
I also think we'll get that kid from Southampton who'll be acting as an additional young back up etc.
