They forget that for about 8 weeks in 1969 our youth team destroyed the best teams in the League. They forget us winning a cup final, going 30 games without defeat in 1920. But for the First World War we would have gone down as one of the really great teams, winning the cup final in the last year before the war and the league in the first year after it, There have been many great times to be a Burnley Fan, and at the moment it is hard work, especially after last year with the frustration of knowing what needs to be done and not being willing or able to do it. This is the nature of the true fan. It doesn't matter what is going on on the pitch because we remain loyal to our team.
This is a time for us to remain loyal. Things won't be this bad for ever, and hopefully in the next few weeks and with a transfer deadline in January we will be ok this season. I doubt if VK will be with us much longer, and I hope the new year will see us moving onward and upwards. Being a TRUE fan is sometimes not easy, but for the true fan it isn't a choice. Have a little patience aand soon you will once again be proud of our great team.
