Our postman left us a card a couple of days ago telling us we had a package waiting for us at the Sorting Office, the postage was underpaid so we'd have to pay £5 to collect it. Thinking it must be something big and possibly important Mrs S went round the following afternoon to find the Office closed, only open between 8am and 10am. Yesterday morning, bright and early, Mrs S tried again and was shown a small envelope, obviously containing a tiny Xmas card, with no stamp on it. She didn't recognise the writing so wasn't too fussed whether she got the card or not and suggested paying a fiver for what a 2nd class stamp would cover was a bit excessive. It's a fiver or I can't give it you she was told, so she told him to chuck it in the bin, which he did. So Royal Mail did all the work with that little card and got nowt for it, a fecking joke organisation.
