If SD could beat Liverpool at Anfield with the team we had at the time then their is no way we were ever going to compete with a much younger, stronger Everton squad that he is coaching with the youngsters we have.VK got Dyched good and proper.
Last year we were all saying that SD had gone as far as he could and we were all sick of Dycheball. If Pace had given SD £100m to spend then we would likely still be in the PL and thriving but like all Yanks he wanted a star name-just like the plonkers at Birmingham.
VK looks lost on the touchline and I think the players no longer believe we can stay up.
If ever we needed a blood and guts display it was today and we simply went down with a wimper.SD and karma arrived at Burnley tonight for Pace & Co.
Men against boys yet again today, however, we have only got the players that we have so just have to get on with it and get bullied in many more games.
If none of you saw that one coming you really are as thick as mince. >:(
I lived in hope BT. Everton and SD did a number on us. Pressed us to death, then exploited our Achilles heel on defending. We had lots of the ball but did nothing with it. Midfield non - existent with Berge picking up the ball just outside our penalty area and Brownhill already at Wolves. He was not at the Turf today.
Seriously, JayRod? Tarks and Keano had him in their pocket. He can’t even judge the flight of a ball, let alone hold up or lay it off. What is Amdouni supposed to be? Is Ekdal so bad that O’Shea is preferred?
I am keeping the faith but my faith is being tested.
If a numpty like me said Mc Neil would drop a set piece on a Toffees attacker’s napper why the **** did VK not.
I have to disagree Chastenor, having watched Dycheball for so many years, his time was well and truely up.
Last season was a breath of fresh air where we played good attacking football under Kompany, the step up is proving to be a step too far or too soon. I am somewhat disappointed that we failed to sign certain of the players we had on loan and defensively the ones signed do not appear to be an improvement on what we had last season.
If we could against all odds avoid relegation, which does appear to be unlikely at present, we may be able to replace the deadwood and kick on next season. I am forever an optimist.
