The Way Forward

As I only have a single voice it obviously is IMO.
And as such I’m as always open to other ideas.
But this is how I hope we move forward as a club.

The DoF has to be a well known name that ignites the interest in the club both locally and nationally.
They also have to be the go between the dressing room and the boardroom - and as such need to speak the language of both

The CEO has to be from the continent and understand the way the club wants to move forward in line with its strategy of how the team plays.
This has to be a person with technical knowledge of how the system that Barnsley has undertaken is able to work in practice.
A large part of the CEO task is in an advisory role for the board of directors - including within that is appointing the HC.

The directors then become the support mechanism for the DoF and CEO - where the CEO and DoF are leading the club - that is to say not the other way around where the DoF and CEO are there to support the directors.
It is the CEO principally that makes the major decisions with the DoF dealing with the playing side of things.

If we get the appointment of the CEO and DoF right then Barnsley has a great future.
The directors are enthusiastic to see the club progress and move forward - but they clearly need the football advice at a range of levels - which to my mind is missing at the moment.

We know you have a personal vendetta against these owners.
But - the owners of the aeroplane ain’t gunna change.
Neither is the cabin crew.

Have you heard any rumours yet who these nationally and internationally known twin pillars of BFC might be ? The Directors have known for a considerable time that Ahmad was leaving and the D of F is new to the structure so they have had plenty of time to organise appointments.

I have no vendetta against anyone unlike some on here, what I want is my club run professionally , I want to enter cup competitions & not get kicked out, I want a club that is not getting investigated for breaking league rules, I want a club that sell season tickets for fans & then does not shunt them like cattle to another part of the ground , I want a club that does not allow a chief executive to leave on the eve of a transfer window etc etc , these thoughts do not constitute a vendetta they are my thoughts on why we are run so badly , yet some seem to turn a blind eye to these facts & choose to blame the team manager , not only that there are some who continue to berate the team manager at every opportunity , now that is what i call a vendetta especially when that one person is blamed for everything whilst his incompetent bosses get a free ride , if the team manager is a failure fans want him moved on so please tell me why when the owners are failures a fan cannot have the opinion that it is time for them to move on ? the club is a shambles , in my opinion something has to change in the way we are run otherwise we will be a club in decline , in fact we already are .

Thats exactly what you are describing in relation to the issues listed.
You can’t blame the directors for most of those issues when a CEO on big money is sat in the office at Oakwell.

And again you blame Neerav for the failings of Conway.
In other words excusing Conway for his actions at the club.
Which in effect is rewriting history while supporting Conways time at the club.

Or is it that you are the last on here to believe that Neerav and Conway are one and the same?

But - I do believe it’s resonanble to complain about an HC when things are clearly dreadful on the field - especially when we have a recent history of HCs being relatively successful with squads that are more or less brand new.

Collins is neither getting the best out of the new players - or the players that have been here a while.
In fact the performances of ALL the players that have been here a while has dropped markedly.

It is absolutely pointless discussing it with you , once again you completely ignore the incompetence of the owners & prefer to blame the staff & in particular one person so do not talk to me about a vendetta , Collins might not be the finished article but we are 7th in the league despite the failings of the owners to give him the tools to do the job , your opinion of which of course you are entitled to do is a typical gaffers , the gaffer is never wrong its the staffs fault , until you take your blinkers off & actually see where the root cause of our problems resides then you will continue with your blind faith . Only one of the issues that Shads listed was under Conway's watch--the deception/ non disclosure of who was in control of BFC during his time as Chairman/ Acting CEO in contravention of EFL Regulations.
This was from the time early on in the Consortium when Lee and Conway were declared Co-Chairman even though Conway has only ever held a maximun of 7.5% of shares in conjunction with Hung as the Pacific Media Group. Conway's power came as the representative of the New York Investor Group. It will be interesting to find out if Conway declared this to the EFL and whether the identities of the members of The Investor Group were properly declared.

The rest of the issues listed by Shads were under Parekh's watch. We could also throw in the Hsx debacle and Fanatics under Parekh's watch

Is it because I’m not a yes man and refuse to follow the general opinion on here - that I have my own views and stick to them until someone proves me wrong ?

I have explained the reason why I don’t blame the current owners for issues you have raised.
Those issues were the responsibilities of the CEO and the previous ownership - they should have taken care of them.
You refuse to write those two individuals into the equation - and by doing so it appears you are deliberately choosing to divert blame from those individuals and redirecting blame towards the current owners.

The previous chairperson has had his power stripped from him.
And the CEO has since left the building.
Did the CEO jump or was he pushed?
It would not surprise me to hear there was a gentle push involved.

Although you provide no reasoning or evidence to support it - you then mention that the present owners have not given Collins the tools to do the job.
IMO this is wrong.

I never thought I’d have to explain why this is wrong because it’s so plainly obvious - but I will anyway.
These owners are responsible for a string of excellent signings going back a few years now to the Pinnock era.
Players including
Morris
Brittain
Styles
Mads
Dike (loan)
Kitchen
Helik
Connell
Cole
Etc etc etc

All have been brought in from lower league teams or ‘B’ teams of other clubs.
Relatively nowts been spent but it has resulted in £££millions coming into the club.

We now know there’s been a fly in the ointment with regards to the running of Barnsley FC during that time in the shape of Paul Conway.
Things haven’t been as they should - hence the recent thread discussing all the good players that are currently playing elsewhere at other clubs.
But at the same time - taking away the influence of Conway (eg best recruitment year ever) the recruitment system at the club has more or less REMAINED THE SAME.

So my reasoning is this - we have had a steady stream of good players through the club in recent years - that each head coach has managed to work with and get the best out of.
So if recruitment remains the same then why are we now witnessing a poor level of football with this present batch of players?
Presently we are only able to get a result from teams in the lower part of the league.
Why ?
So what has changed to cause this?

Main thing is a lack of experience in defence. For all that you say above Nudge an experienced centre half would give the new recruits the guidance they need.
