“Gorgeous” George has to be the greatest single operator political candidate of all time.
I don’t like his politics but I admire his ability to fight his corner and take an opportunity.
In fairness to him, his politics and beliefs have never changed, he doesn’t change with the wind like most.
He’s a terrific debater, one of very few who Andrew Neil could never get the better of.
With less extreme views, he’d have made a superb Labour leader.
Really? This guy shared a platform with Farage and voted for his party. He's supposed to be the polar opposite to him.
He's also been pretty friendly with some shocking dictators in the past, Syria guy who's name escapes me, Sadam too. He's almost certainly in the pocket of our good friend Mr Putin. Didn't he have a regular slot on RT? These are not people who have 'working people's best interests at heart'.
I think he's a security threat. And yet another person who should be nowhere near our parliament.
We’ve often had opposing political views 123 but I’m with you on his one. There was a very low turn out and by voicing his pro-Palestinian views I’m sure that with a high Muslim population in Rochdale this is, in my opinion, where a large number of his votes came from. He’s a chancer and opportunist and will use any method to his advantage. We are struggling to find quality MP’s as it is and he should be nowhere near parliament.
