In his two spells in the Bundesliga covering four and a half seasons he has made 145 appearances and scored 66 goals and has 22 assists, however, he is not good enough for Burnley according to many fans.

When we were relegated with us he was told by the Dutch manager that he had to be playing at the top level somewhere to have a chance of selection at the World Cup. Since then he has played 18 games for Netherlands and scored 7 goals.
Over the last three seasons he has appeared in a total of 141 matches so it would appear that fitness is not a problem.
Foster has scored 5 PL goals in 23 games and in the time that Weghorst has appeared in 141 games (last three seasons) sadly Lyle has only appeared in a total of 68 games which, for a young, upcoming athlete is not a good sign.Quote:
