One of my old MGB's

Just checked if it's still on the rd and to check the MOT history .
My old roadster which was a 1973 m reg,has changed colour from conault green( think of a dark racing green ) it is now red.
It has now got 5k on the clock . I did over 100k in it , the clutch failed at just over 90k when I stipped it down it was just a broken release bearing .
My old roadster probley has been re shelled and most likely only the old reg is left of of it .
It was a great reliable car , I brought many cars to replace it but ended up keeping it for years .

Great cars I have a late 78 MGB that my son and I rescued, have done a lot including paint and converting to chrome bumpers, he has just started driving it himself and loves it, as classic cars go they are good starter cars, relatively cheap to buy, easy to get parts and reliable.

Back in 83 my girlfriend of the time bought an MG Midget at the time I was into Ford Capri’s.

The old Midget didn’t half leap out once you reached the clutch bite point, it was like driving a roller skate with an engine strapped to it.

After an argument one night I got out of the car and Mandy decided to do a U turn, race back towards me, mount the pavement and launch the vehicle at me.

I was about to be pinned against the garden wall of a house on Wollaston High Street and had no choice but to launch myself through their immaculate privet hedge whilst dressed like Simon Le Bon.

I always have a wry smile as I drive past, my middle daughter only lives a few hundred yards away.

Great little cars though but absolute death traps the way they were built.
