Gawd, United have signed a brummie, he will promise much and deliver nowt, all brummies do. Not only that hes 32, and the Derby geezer is 33.

Whos going to supply the legs, that in November, cold, facing 20 somethings, athletic, fast, they all are these day, those tired old legs will be wanting.

How are they going to get up the pitch.....and back again?, maybe once. Especially the brummie, he brings to mind that other fellow a few years ago, talented, but a small island in the middle of nowhere, lost, walking, in his own world, while the ball pinged around , and he....watched.

When that happens your career is over, he was subbed, sometimes in minutes of the first half.


And that other geriatric, Morrison, injured at the end of last season, has he recovered,?, ive been in that position, late 30s, needing to run, train, get some semblance of fitness.

Even though you love to play, the thought is oh flip. Morrisons time not injured can be measured in weeks, if not days.

All the players United have signed are rejects.

Not good enough, deficient, untalented, old, worn out, busted, of a wrong mentality, injured, side lined, and in Gardners case, a brummie, talented but a waste of space.

His career has been over a while.

And yet people will turn up to watch this and hand over money to do so, the entertainment value will be like filming a meeting of the shadow board.

The hopes of United fans have been raised, in the way the Titanics passengers would have felt if a ship happened by. And thereupon the real drama, that upon such the fate of a talented manager hangs, that of Monk.

His fate in the hands of as sholes. On and off the pitch.

Your fat and lazy?, i wouldnt have thought that, give me examples. If you were a footballer i would imagine you as Patrick Viera, talented, on steriods, run all day and all night if need be.

A leader, vocal, a bally hero.

And more. The saviour of britain, a one eyed man in a blind world, a rescuer of babies in war torn countries, a good samaritan.

A latter day Diego Maradona physically and who’s well past his prime and willing to cheat in completions especially prediction comps,I’ve been know to put in multiple scores under different names,claimed that there’s secret cliques conspiring against me when I know that there isn’t,throw a tantrum if the organiser doesn’t let me have my own way over breaking the rules but I don’t feel any guilt as I’ve never won one yet

That was the old chalky griff,the new chalky is a reformed character who has learnt the error of his way and will partake in future competitions fair n square I can reassure you that

There is a process to go through if you want to compete.

You cant spend five minutes predicting random scores based on league position, or whether you like a team or not, that even when you do this, it makes you a contender, winning can then be down to luck, luck is a player. To do so and win would be beyond amazing.

Youve got to research the teams you are predicting, read the local news, whos in or out, whos injured, managerial changes, new signingns.

Even one player missing, a key player, or coming back makes a big difference, in what he does and the effect on team mates and the result. Its about whether the manager is liked or not.

What looks like a rock solid home win on paper may not be. How do you think old boy does it?, its not with guessing. Do your homework and you will be a contender. Its time consuming, Griff won it, then i guess he didnt put the time in anymore.

Getting frustrated over it when you dont study the above is a bit silly, you cant win owt, in any competition just like that.

Howoldboy was great at the prediction comp because he spent ages researching the clubs in question and who or who wasn’t playing but tbh I just can’t be bothered,if the team at home are higher up the league than the one that’s away then I will go with that,if you’re not in the lead in the comp then just play up about it and see what you can get away with is my philosophy

I did very well at the bookies last season but I had a lot of luck on my side,no matter how much you research Frank you can’t factor in that 95th min own goal that comes off someone’s arse and that’s what normally destroys systems

I’m going to do griffs comp your way this season Frank,look a bit deeper into the players and stuff instead of just putting in random guesses and see how I fare 👍

Im not optimistic over the outcome, having done some teaching, it does suggest that the registration of information, then the application cannot be guaranteed.

It might at least mean that you might stay off the bottom. Intuition plays a part, that reading between the lines helps, but you wont be possesion of it.

For instance, i predicted a Norwich win at Brentford a couple of years, all the signs were for a home win, easily, but i felt different. Old boy will be an intuitive, gathering information and subconsciuosly making connections, and predicting over a feeling.

Do you have a subconscious chalky? If a doctor dug into your mind i wonder if he would find an old Atari, or the first Alan Sugar computers, a few flashing lights, and maybe and old bbc tardis.
