Love that, can see why everyone loved him so much at Notts.
Excellent read - tells you a lot about our ex-Head Coach.
Agree with SP and OG, and although it doesn't get any easier I'm still rooting against Swansea this year! I'll be cheering on Millwall and Oxford instead
Yeah good read but unless they have sell on clauses I've not much interest in them when they leave Notts.
A great story from about LW and BZ.
Says a great deal about both guys who come across as very genuine and honest guys born of a different era.
Easy to see why players can play and perform for managers/coaches with that character and philosophy.
I always felt things were under control when Luke was here. I know he was going through a sticky patch when he left but he’d have sorted it, maybe not last season, but this one for sure.
I miss his interviews and down to earth honesty, I hope he goes to the top.
I think the character of a manager is massively underrated in today's data-driven world. Luke was so likeable and inspirational, it's not hard to see how the team would go that extra mile when playing for him. I think it's possible to build a good team with an uninspiring coach, but an inspirational coach can turn them into a great team through force of personality alone.
Excellent article. And for those making cheap shots at SM for previously being a telecommunications engineer, LW is a good example of how real life experiences can help a coach.
