Says a great deal about both guys who come across as very genuine and honest guys born of a different era.
Easy to see why players can play and perform for managers/coaches with that character and philosophy.
I always felt things were under control when Luke was here. I know he was going through a sticky patch when he left but he’d have sorted it, maybe not last season, but this one for sure.
I miss his interviews and down to earth honesty, I hope he goes to the top.
I think the character of a manager is massively underrated in today's data-driven world. Luke was so likeable and inspirational, it's not hard to see how the team would go that extra mile when playing for him. I think it's possible to build a good team with an uninspiring coach, but an inspirational coach can turn them into a great team through force of personality alone.Quote:
