Football Fans Cars Locked in Park & Ride Carpark

English League Cup game Tuesday night - Colchester Utd v Reading FC

Around 200 cars were parked in a Es*** County Council park & ride carpark,
after the game the fans returned to their cars to find the carpark locked,
with 2 padlocks on the gates.

The game finished at 22.30

One fan telephoned Es*** park & ride, which went to voicemail, which said,
" We will deal with your query in the morning ".
So someone telephoned Police on 101, due to a lot of calls to the number,
the exchange were not taking anymore calls.
Then someone telephoned the Police on 999, but they were told its not a
police matter.

So some fans decided to takes matters into their own hands, & broke out
of the carpark.

Turns out the carpark was locked up at 21.30.
A spokesman for Es*** park & ride said, the site was due to stay open until
22.30, with a excuse, there was a breakdown in communication.

They said they would refund customers who purchased tickets using MiPermit.
