Songa and chants
There is a real positive feeling around Pittodrie these days ,in the main of course thanks to the fantastic start to the Thelin years.
I have noticed a distinct lack of moaning abuse at half time etc ( unusual for the main stand !) but instead much more encouragement being given.
Incredibly this has resulted in a strange phenomenon towards the end of games when the red shed starts another chant and a sizeable proportion of the Main stand joins in with a constant clapping .
This being a welcome addition to the previous acceptance that they WILL actually "Stand up for the Aberdeen "
This might be the year that the Main Stand ( or a least a reasonable proportion ) will join in with the singing and chants ( at least some of the time) .
It has almost happened but has not yet reached the magic numbers where those that try will keep going with it and it does not just peter out.
One of the problems of course is that it is not all that clear what all the words are !!!
As an example " Super dandies " it is clear we are from the North East and who we hate but the rest of it is a mystery
"Take me home Merkland Road" is pretty clear
but others " since 1983, Pittodrie , ole ole" is all we can make out
Is it possible for anyone who knows all the chants and songs to jot down the words here.
Many thanks in advance
PS may I suggest the original 1980's "Here we go" chant be resurrected (

Spooky timing, had discussion earlier that I didn’t know words to one single song today.
That there’s no chance to join in from the rest of stands cos it isn’t the old standards - stand free, were red you’re dead, we hate Glasgow Rangers etc
I’m not knocking the kids but there’s no real opportunity for other stands to get those going anymore due to the drone from the Paddock.
The ultras songs being listed would be a great idea. Would also be great if the kids learned the old ‘standards’.

Singing and clapping in the Main Stand!
Surely season ticket holders will have letters going into the club complaining of such outrageous behaviour.
You would be best checking Instagram, or getting your kids/grandkids to do it for you, as that's where it all goes through now.
There was a thread of them on the hat a while back too that might be worth a look.

You know something positive’s afoot when the main stand folk want to sing!

Do they still sing ‘ohh ****ey ****ey, ****ey, ****ey, ****ey ****ey Galloway’?
