Lee Carsley has said he will not sing the national anthem when he leads England today.
Should he, or is it a personal matter? I think he should but that's just my opinion - more important to me is that he isn't announced as the new manager. We need to move on from the Southgate era.
Personally, I don’t think it matters either way. When I was younger, I wouldn’t like it when players didn't sing it but I think it’s one of a plethora of things managers/players do outwardly that now I’ve realised sort of don’t actually matter and have no benefit/drawback.Quote:

Who cares really. We need someone who can pick a good team and organise and motivate them. Things like belting out the anthem are nice but count for very little at the end of the day. Look at Italy, they always give a rousing rendition but stank the place out in the summer. Their fans aren't consoled by the fact that players, manager and staff sing the anthem well.
