With the likely return of Kelly in midfield that's a massive lift and Raggett back would be even better if both could start. A point as a minimum would be good, a win even better.

Wrexham are no Birmingham. They’re are a big physical side, very much like Rotherham. We should be looking to beat them and I think we will.

Wrexham have are formidable at home. Away they have fewer points than ourselves...

It is a bold statement but also a clever one. He is making it clear that if we are in the top 8 or so he expects the board to invest in January, if they don't he has his excuse, if they do he has what he knows he needs to get rid of the poor summer signings as well as what he inherited and bring in more players.
I would rather have him speaking bold like this than the weak submissive words that came out the week before the Birmingham game.

Has SE changed or is it he can't bring in players of the standard now he could when he was 1st here? This botched up squad he's put together it's disjointed you can't see a formation that will work from it. It's painful to watch. But how many sides in league 1 are better organised? So being in touch with the promotion places come January isn't out the question.

We're not as good away from home as has been pointed out. But we are generally very organised as a result of most of the squad being together for 2 seasons and having the same manager over a longer period.
We're still waiting to put our best 11 players on the pitch as we're waiting for Mullin to get match fit again. He may start tomorrow and gives us an edge that we've sometimes been lacking.

It will be a right battle tomorrow. I'd imagine the ref will be busy and his red card will more than likely make an appearance.

We tend to do well in these sorts of games as we have a few battle hardened players such as Palmer, McClean, Dobson, O'Connell etc.

Yes I was a fan when we were sh!t.. I actually came to your old ground to watch us many years ago and seem to remember we got stuffed 3-0. We definitely lost the game. When I started following Wrexham we were in League One and could more than hold our own so in my mind we're back in the league where we generally belong.

Most Yorkshire clubs and fans in my experience are generally very welcoming and friendly, bar that Sheff Utd lot. They're not so welcoming for some reason. They took real offence when we almost beat them in the FA Cup a few years back.

Anyway looking forward to the game.

I remember coming to Wrexham in 2000 for first round of fa Cup. We won 1 nil with an Alan Lee goal and Guy Branston was sent off. We also had Paul Warne and Mark Robins in the team and Darren Ferguson played for Wrexham

BFG, welcome. Yes this should be a good game for all the right reasons. Similar to yourselves, we are awaiting the return of two of our main players who have been out injured for a few weeks now. Hopefully, they will show tomorrow and will bolster our midfield and defence accordingly.

Looking forward to giving Basil a rapturous applause and trust the rest of our fans will acknowledge him accordingly.

Best visit for me down at yours was in 1989 when we went down to Wrexham and panned you 1-4.

Also seem to recall a 0-3 win there but can't think what year it was?
