Cost of Living
I don't really want this to turn into a political thread and really it's probs a mistake posting it cos it well but I want a rant.
I've just looked back at my credit card statements from last year for my families food shopping (i.e. tesco).
Weve not really changed what we buy, in fact we now buy the ****ter versions of stuff cos its cheaper, i rarely buy alcohol anymore and yet, despite all of this. The overall average cost has gone up 34%.
Its the same for everyone I know, but how the **** are we meant to manage?
My wages haven't gone up 34%.
Last year our average family shop for 4 was in £80-£90 now sitting in £115-£120 mark.
Ridiculous.

There is no real reason for it either.
It's all due to shocking management of political strategy, budgets and fiscal planning.
Vote with your wallet people.

Add into that the silly smaller portions for the extra money.

Yes energy costs have risen because the wholesale gas prices have quadruplec but its pure profiteering. Companies are making up for lost time post COVID because they can. I am avoiding the worst of these pirates and they have lost a customer for life - prices arent rising by inflation, most of them are rising by 50% or even doubling. No fkn justification for it at all and although inflation is about 1.7% now, thats still a rise on top of previous ones. Britain I believe have made a mistake having only limited gas storage facilities of a few days and becoming so reliant on Russia's gas like the rest of Europe - I was saying this a decade or more ago and that it would come back and bite.
