We’ve just passed a fantastic morning at Manchester.
There’s a group of us here for the weekend and our French friends were so impressed with the service and the respect shown to one and all. They were touched by the way it wasn’t politicised and that all of the speakers were leaders of many faiths.
A brilliant day and we’ll continue with a tradition roast!

Watched the London cenotaph parade, listened to the old soldiers, & the not so young talking about comrades & the incidents that caused some disabilities.
Brought tears to my eyes, remembered my Father who came back from the second world War, but now sadly passed.
My Grandfather who was killed in World War One, when my father was 2 years of age, in the battle of the Somme, Grandfather was a sergeant, who got a medal for bravery, of course only seen pictures of him.
Well organized by the British Legion in London today.
Full Marine uniform today as usual. I am always humbled by the stories of bravery that real life hero’s tell.
Will never ever forget the friends I’ve lost in combat.
I am thankful for the sacrifices they have made to allow us all to live our lives.
Took my son training down on Herringthorpe playing fields this morning at 1030 so took the opportunity to go to Clifton Park for the Remembrance at 11am so glad I did very moving and a very good turnout from ages across the board from toddlers to veterans

I went to Looe down ere - really emotional and felt very humble. Must have been around 1000 + people there of all ages - the only black fella I saw came across at the end when the anthem was played. Majority were mumbln but this guy belted it out loud and proud - were a nation of many nations and he was in my eyes a star, we should celebrate and respect being brits
