Miggy
I love the bloke and he has score some important goals for us but even he must acknowledge his time here is run. Even Howe who loves him, isn't playing him.
Apperently River Plate are planning on making an offer for him in Jan - he also supports them, so they think they'll be able to swing a good deal as he'll push for it.
If they do make an offer, we should take it. Anything ?10 million and above I would take personally.
However, according to his agent he wants to fight for his place. . . ffs, Miggy, why. Surely you see the writing on the wall.
I hope this is more a good front so he gets his loyalty bonus etc.
I love him but I hope we sell him in Jan.
He's played 479 minutes this season and has made 10 appearances, all from the bench and has not scored a goal or made an assist

Anything around the ?10m mark and it's Adios from me!
Plata are indeed the team his dad and he used to watch. If they have the funds to do the deal remains to be seen as Miggy is on a pretty penny at Newcastle and matching his wages in Argentina isn't gonna be easy.
Whether the agent's comments about fighting for his place are just the usual 'Happy at the club, but you never know in football babble' is moot I guess. If the offer is good enough and they can agree personal terms I'm pretty sure he'll be happy to move back to South America.
He has never developed a decent standard of English, whenever he does an interview it's still in Spanish after all these years.
Ideal world we ship Miggy & Wilson for around ?20m in fees in Jan and bring in young decent replacements with lots of development potential.

Yep, was gonna post similar.
In this instance, I don't really blame the player or his agent. Miggy seems to be motivated by playing and, well, he's not...and won't much while he's here. If we can get?10-?12 million for him then it's good for us and good for him.
Ditto Wilson. For different reasons, they don't have a future here but still have something to offer elsewhere.
