Luton v Swansea
Luton v Swansea Sat 7 Dec 15:00
Just when you think the team is finally clicking together and that we can actually challenge at the top half of the table after fine displays against high flyers Burnley and Leeds, typical Swansea go and blow it against bottom of the table Portsmouth, our normally solid defence conceding two goals before half-time and then we are in recovery mode for the rest of the match, dragging ourselves back into it to eventually get the draw.
Next game is away at Luton and we play another team that are struggling this season, but which Swansea team will turn up as we still search for consistency of play over the 90 minutes of matches.
Last time we played at Luton was 22-23 season where we lost 1-0, Carlton Morris scoring. We had Fisher in goal and Piroe up front and Wood was preferred to Darling in defence. We had already lost the home fixture at the beginning of the season 0-2, with goals from Campbell and Morris.

Luton 1 (Adebayo 17’) - Swansea 1 (Grimes 64’)
How can you have 20 shots in a match and only score one goal. So many chances wasted against a poor Luton side.
It was an under hit back-pass to Vigouroux from Cabango that let in Adebayo for a simple goal after 17 minutes. It wasn’t until the 64 minute that we equalised, Grimes firing home a short corner from Tymon. After that we just couldn’t get the winner, Eom heading wide of an open goal. Story of the season so far.

More points slipped from our grasp as we dominated Luton second half. The chances we had we should have won this easily, a repeat of the Portsmouth draw, four points dropped in the last two games.
-
Frustrating. We are matching and bettering these teams but cannot convert our dominance into goals and wins.
Perhaps we can sort it out in the January window.

Hi guys. Only saw the highlights, how we didn’t win that match I don’t know. Same as the Portsmouth match, the ball just wouldn’t go in for us.
