Cannot see this on to be honest, been less cold in the past and still called off. Will notice a difference Monday onwards with a welcome change to tropical maritime type air mass and not before time, when is them underground pipes going to work or were they just a myth griff.

The pipes are in, but there isn’t a boiler attached. We had a thread on it a few years back, I’ll look it up. The eather seems pretty much the same there as here, and I can’t see the grass thawing out for a good few days so yeah, it’ll likely be off. Our covers don’t protect down to -6.

It seems strange that they didn?t finish the job off after doing all of the hard work of laying down the pipe work?

We relay our pitch quite frequently and on one of those occasions they put the pipes in but that was as far as they got. Now we have owners that are spending millions on infrastructure and the matchday experience I’m surprised that this wasn’t on the list. On the other hand, USH costs a lot to run so it’s got to be worth it, and they could have a playable pitch only to find that the game has to be PP because the streets around the ground are deemed dangerous by some police or Council tosspot.

Fancy going to all that bother and no boiler, must have known this when the pipes were laid in the first place.Cart before the horse comes to mind. You couldn't make it up but they did make it up,no boiler from the brains trust at the time.
