Is this a first? I don't remember seeing Notts pimp its pitch out before. Is this a corporate thing?


The Meadow Lane pitch is available for hire later this year!

Between Monday 19 May ? Sunday 25 May, we?re offering two slots per day (10am-2pm and 3pm-7pm).

The package, priced from ?1,950 + VAT, includes:

60-minute warm-up period on arrival, with access to first-team changing rooms and pitch
90-minute match
Pitchside/balcony presentations
Safety provision
Stadium access for up to 250 people (more permitted at additional cost)
Car parking for up to 150 people

You can also enhance your experience with:

Use of scoreboards: ?100
Match officials: ?150
Use of PA and microphone: ?50
Photographer: ?200
Kit supply (no names/numbers): TBC
Kit supply (with names/numbers): TBC
Hospitality lounge hire (open bar): From ?300

The following catering options are available:

Chip cobs: ?5 per head
Standard buffet: ?10 per head
Hot fork buffet: ?15 per head

Buffet menus available on request. For bookings of more than 250 guests, street food vans can also be hired ? with pre-pay or pay-as-you go options available.

They pimped it out last night as well for Leicester Women?s match against Stoke in the women?s? FA Cup. They did the same again 2 or 3 weeks ago for an earlier round.

Presumably with the new pitch and the mix of grass and some artificial material, plus the improved drainage, they reckon the pitch will tolerate the wear and tear and won't need as much summer maintenance.

So can we get 22 of us together, just over ?100 each, and have a knock around? Get friends and family to watch to offset the costs. Will the Nest be open?

Will be interesting to see how much revenue it achieves.

10-20 years ago me and mates would have been all over this. Divide the price by 24-28 it?s a decent price for a special occasion and rare opportunity

Great piece of business, just shows that if you invest properly for the long term the benefits are there to help pay for it.

If any other club did this we?d be screaming out desperate and there skint right or wrong?

Anyway ?1,900 won?t buy us a proven striker that we desperately need.
About time they put **** like this on the back burner and crap involving the Nest and instead strengthen the positions in the squad we are crying out for with maybe 1 or 2 experienced pro?s instead of kids who are barely out of nappies with hardly any men?s football experience in most cases none.

I used to be a bit of a dinosaur like you and even though time isn?t on my side, I?ve realised that if you want to build something you have to put the foundations in place first. I see it as another excellent initiative.
