Great way to introduce yourself

Hats off to Joe Westley who went out on loan to Swindon yesterday and was included in their squad at Newport tonight.
Newport were once managed by Joe's father who got the sack when they were bottom of the league. When he came on to the field in the 63rd minute he was greeted with the usual "Who are you" calls, however, within 12 minutes he had scored his first EFL goal which won the game for Swindon.

Well done Joe, you had been doing it at Under 21 level regularly, I sincerely hoep that you can carry it on in League Three. Great start.

It was a good finish and he almost set up another goal too. He is deeloping very well, however, will he get the service that a striker needs because the desire to walk the ball into the net seems to grow every week. Perhaps Ian Holloway will be a good help in this development. Time will tell.

When Peter Ridsdale took over as Chairman at Preston, virtually the first thing he did was sack Phil Brown and replace him with Graham Westley, he lasted just over a year.
