O/T Marianne Faithful

The Convent educated bad girl of the Sixties has passed at 78. The beauty of her youth may have been wrecked by her self-destructive drug habit but she clawed back to re-invent herself with Broken English and Strange Weather is one of my favourite albums. She had been ill for some time. RIP Marianne.

(Btw, before anyone mentions it, the infamous Mars Bar incident with Keef was
apparently all lies 😮 )

Her association with the Stones, specifically Jagger, Richards and Loog Oldham, gave her the hit song As Tears Go By but it was also the probable cause of her exposure to hard drugs. I wonder whether she believed that it was all worthwhile in the end?

The Ist x rated film I saw was Girl on the Motorbike with Marrion Faithful , the old Queens picture house (the flee pit) in West Brom .
