Watford v Swansea
Watford v Swansea Wed 12 March 19:45
I suppose the big question now is can we keep going with the unbeaten run which started three matches ago under caretaker boss Alan Sheehan.
The International break is upon us once again after Saturday?s big home match against Burnley and it would be nice to go into that game undefeated. The Watford game on Wednesday is the present hurdle before we can think of that.
There are calls for Sheehan to be given the managers job until the end of the season but it could depend on the next two results.
With the matches so close together will Sheehan be tempted to rest some players. Key defender Darling went off injured on Saturday, the extent of his injury is unknown so far, hopefully he came off as a precaution. The injured Peart-Harris has returned to Brentford for further assessment, but Joe Allen and Josh Ginnelly are fit to play some part again having been on the subs bench the last few games.

Watford 1 (Sissoko 26’) - Swansea 0
From hero to zero, the villain was Franco, who should be sent to SpecSavers, he gifted the goal to Watford by passing the ball back, straight to Ince in a dangerous area, who then passed to Sissoko unmarked to score. It’s a mystery to me what on earth Franco was thinking.
Tremendous fight back second half, how we didn’t equalise was hard to take with all the chances we had.
That one mistake cost us the game unfortunately.
We should have won this game easily but luck was not with us. The players gave us 100%, can’t ask for more.

As Sheehan says, we lacked composure, especially in the final third and deserved a draw. Watford only two shots on target, Swansea three on target from twelve shots, Vipotnik, Cullen and Eom so close to scoring.
It was scrappy at times with Watford getting away with some dirty tackles, especially Louza, who was lucky not to get sent off.
A lucky win for Watford.

Bad luck boys, one mistake loses us the match. Franco gifted the ball to Ince, but Sissoko should have been marked better for the goal.
First half we kept on losing possession to the strong arm tactics of the Watford players with no protection from the ref. He should have sent off Rouza for persistently bad tackles, but only one yellow.
We were the better team second half, relentless pressure but nothing to show for it.
