And this is why Eddie Howe is the first English manager to win owt in ages. The old boys club that believe that only those who played at the very top can become managers. Hence why the likes of Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard get top jobs, denying good managers that have come through the ranks, and then fail massively at them. Bruce has now fired back at Gayle - insisting he will only take criticism from people “more established” than Gayle. Speaking after Blackpool’s 2-0 away win at Northampton Town, he said: “I’ve been around the block a long long time.
“I’ve only managed 1,050 games but, according to Dwight, I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ll let other people make their minds up who are a bit more established than Dwight ever was.”
It's absolutely clear he doesn't know what he's doing. Barely achieving anything over 40% win ratio at some clubs. His top flight record is closer to 25%. That's relegation standard incompetence.
