Twenty years ago - Motherwell in the League Cup final

In March 2005 Motherwell reached the League Cup final.

The result was a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Rangers but given that the club had just emerged from a spell in administration ?Well fans had plenty to cheer.

That result was a sore one. Overall, Gordon Marshall was a good and consistent ‘keeper for us, but i just felt he had a bad dose of nerves that day and it was a major factor in our defeat.
