Why the Decline?

Why does the footballing fortune of Walsall FC seemingly depend of the arrival and departure of a 19-year old player?
What about the rest of the squad?
Time for the Saddlers to grow a spine and get on with the business of winning the League Two title, something they were well set up to do until, inexplicably, the club got cold feet and allowed others to catch up.

Again, a defeat. Losing 2-0 to Barrow. Without a whimper. Just acceptance.
It intrigues me how a team that was 12 points clear of the rest in mid-January could be 4 points behind the leaders with 4 games to go and not even sure of the playoffs.
Any Swifts fans care to explain?
