I believe 2 wins and a draw for Notts in the last 5 games of the season should secure a playoff place. Salford & Cheltenham at home & Harrogate away should see those positive results. Then anything could happen.

To say this is only our 2nd season back in the football league, we're doing OK, Rome wasn't built in a day and if we're still in this league next season, then hopefully lessons lesrned on whats required, and with a new D.O.F in place, we'll come good in the end.

The NL play-offs are fairer but more cut-throat. The EFL play-offs more fun and unpredictable. We'd have a good chance.

It seems a more likely outcome today. As I said in the match thread it would take something special to get five wins and 81 points that would be needed for automatics. This league has not been predictable and anything can happen in the last five games but it?s wise to mentally prepare for the playoffs.Quote:

Bit premature chucking in the towel. We play our next game a day before all promotion rivals. A win at home to Salford puts us 4th and 1 point behind Walsall which would increase the pressure on them.
I do expect that once Walsall get the monkey off their back and win a match, more wins for them will follow, but their winless run could last long enough for us to overtake them. Doncaster play Wimbledon next, so at least one of those two drops points next weekend.
Whilst a win for Notts at Bradford seems unlikely, if we did manage 3 points there then it would make up for the defeat at Colchester and puts us right back in the mix, so long as we don't screw up at home to Salford of course.
One thing is for sure if we are in the playoffs, I am not going back to Colchester again?
It was a toss-up for me whether to go or not, then I remembered the route, the distance, the soulless ground and the fact I've been there many times already. Staying put was a good decision, but kudos to all those that made it, sounds like they deserved a lot betterQuote:

It's all about progress.
It'll be the Bros 6th season. There's steady and there's slow if we don't go up this year. It's costing them money every year we don't go up. Feels a bit like missing the boat for a ha'po'rth of tar at times though it also feels this season that we coudn't catch a cold in the Antarctic with the missing players we have a key times.Quote:
