But its 15/8 for promotion !!!
Even though the 2/1 odds you quote for each game are way off, the 26/1 chance for all three to come up is almost spot on. The best odds I can find for each outcome are:
Fleetwood beat Bradford 11/2
Walsall fail to win 4/6
Notts beat Donny 29/20
That treble pays 25.54/1.
Actually those are good odds if you base it on simple possible permutations and take away home advantage and position in the league. There are 27 possible outcomes next Saturday, if you consider each that team can win, lose or draw, and going through them, as we can ignore goal difference, which works in our favour, we can do it in 2 of those combinations, i.e.
Bradford L
Walsall D/L
Notts W
so its 2/27 - I know looking at it like this its an extremely slim chance, but we all know on the last day anything can happen. Nerves kick in and players can lose their heads and see a red card, as happened for both Bradford and Walsall yesterday, or as we we have seen, there are many poor refs in this league and .I wouldn't put it past one of those awarding a dubious penalty in injury time. Also the form table (for last 6 games) has Fleetwood above Bradford and Crewe above Walsall so who knows. Stranger things have happened.
So, 25/1 looks pretty good on paper. Might be worth a punt.
See you on the pitch for the start of the promotion party at 5pm Sat.
